Michael Joe Wilson, 84, of Rosine, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026, with his family by his side at Ohio County Hospital. He was born October 23, 1941, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Arthur Wilson and Winnie Mae Cook Wilson. Michael Joe was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of Friedland Masonic Lodge 836 F&AM.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters, Paula Wilson and Angie Wilson; brother, Gary “Bud” Wilson and two sisters, Sarah Mae Etter and Jean Wheeler.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Betty Sue Raley Wilson; children, Michael Wayne Wilson and Laura Wilson; six grandchildren, Heather Hobdy, Christina Carpenter, Rachel Carpenter, Dustin Hayes, Devon Hayes and Aaron Wilson; eleven great grandchildren as well as a brother, William “Bill” (Diane) Wilson.
A celebration of life will be held from 1-4 PM Sunday, July 26, 2026, at St. Frances Community Center, 768 Horse Branch Loop, Horse Branch, KY 42349. His final resting place will be Wilson Cemetery in Horse Branch, Kentucky.
