CENTRAL CITY – William “Buck” Clayton Duncan, 80, of Central City, died Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 6:08PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Duncan was born May 6, 1946, in Muhlenberg County. He was a saw mill operator, and member of Cleaton Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jacklyn Peveler; grandson, William Lee Duncan; and siblings, Clois Duncan, Tommy Duncan, Nick Duncan, and Joseph “Tubby” Duncan.
He is survived by his wife, Sherril Davis Duncan; children, William Dale Duncan, Rhonda (Jason Mertz) Duncan, and Freddie (Michelle) Duncan; grandchildren, Makayla Duncan, Kendra Geary, Jack Piercefield, Michael Jones, Conner Carroll, and Samantha Flener; great-grandchildren, Taysean Whitney, Kaydence Peveler, and Samantha’s kids; great-great-grandchildren, Jayven Peveler, Zaylyn Shemwell, Tayvin Whitney, Raelynn Jones, Haisley Jones, Hunter Baggett, and Hope Baggett; and siblings, Jackie Arndell and Donnie Duncan.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 24, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Todd Cartwright officiating. Visitation will be Friday after 9:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date.
