Maurice Davis 70, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Friday, July 24, 2026 at his home in Owensboro. Maurice Edward Davis was born September 20, 1955 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late George William ‘G.W.’ and Dortha Lee Smith Davis.
Maurice worked as an electrician and could fix just about anything. His specialty was working on cars. He loved visiting his old homeplace of Buttonsberry and caring for his faithful companion, ‘Indy.’
In addition to his parents, Maurice was preceded in death by a brother, Onis Davis and a sister, Adora Davis-Monroe.
Maurice is survived by his companion of 47 years, Debbie Peak; two daughters, Natosha Tekos (Nick) and Kathryn Davis (Mark Dotson) both of Owensboro; and two brothers, Randy Davis (Beverly) of Hartford and Tommy Davis (Amy) of Owensboro.
Family services will be held at a later date. There will be no public visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the arrangements for Maurice’s family.
