James Daniel Lindow, 60, of Owensboro went to be with the Lord Monday, July 30, 2018. Jim was born February 14, 1958 in Owensboro to Robert Lindow and the late Leslie Jean Wahl Lindow. “Jimbo” worked as a supervisor at Sara Lee Bakery for over 37 years. He loved life and never met a stranger. Jim entertained family and friends as an amateur magician and jokester. He enjoyed gardenscaping and was an avid Detroit Lions fan. Jim loved his family and especially spending time with his grandson, Aidan, who affectionately called him “Poppy”.
Jim was also preceded in death by his wife, Adina Higdon Lindow in 2005 and mother, Leslie Jean Lindow in 1983; great nephew, Samuel Hughes and great niece, Madelyn VonGunten.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Christina Elizabeth Kim and husband Brian of Lexington; grandson, Aidan Kim; father, Robert Lindow and wife Jeanne; sister, Robin Abel and husband Joseph; brothers, David Lindow and wife Cathy, and Tony Lindow and wife Jane; loving companion, Kim Dame, all of Owensboro; 14 nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 4 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Fr. Carl McCarthy officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 till 7:00 pm with story sharing at 6:30 and Saturday from 8:30 am till 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
