Lisa Beth Hodges, 36, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 while traveling to Louisville.
She was born in Westminster, Maryland to Chester Allen and Larita Etzler.
Lisa had worked as a registered nurse before pursuing her current career in massage therapy. She loved Jesus and was a very loveable person with a radiant smile. Lisa had a big heart and loved all animals. Through the years, and currently, she had a very long list of pets that ranged from dogs to snails. Many of those were animals that she rescued. Lisa was also very artistic, enjoyed learning new things, was a great baker, enjoyed tending her beautiful flower garden and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Philip Hodges, Jr.; children, Julie Exum, Natalie Miller, Corie Soto and Wade Hodges, all of Owensboro; eleven grandchildren, mother, Larita Etzler of Eldersburg, Maryland; father, Chester Allen, Jr. of Hanover, Pennsylvania; a brother, Chester Allen, III of Shady Side, Ohio; grandmother, Virginia Becraft; niece, Ashley Bobik; a nephew, Austin Allen; aunts and uncles; and her in-laws, Phil and Pat Hodges.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 5 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 until 6:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
