Steven Jackson Law, 65, of Owensboro, loving father and papaw, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2020 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born on October 11, 1954. Steve graduated from Owensboro High School and Western Kentucky University. He began his career with the Kentucky Department of Transportation before spending over 30 years as a civil engineer with Texas Gas Transmissions. Steve had a dry wit and was a practical joker. He was very artistic and never stopped expanding his knowledge of science, history and astronomy but his true passion was always music. Those who knew him best understood what a gifted musician he was, a true closet rock star!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Jackson Law and Mary Dalton Law and his nephew Christopher Cravens.
His survivors are his beloved children, Steven Andrew Law (Alexis) and Elliott Jackson Law; grandson Jonah Law; sisters Beverly Taylor (Robert) and Sharon Whittinghill (Joel) along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory with the Rev. Mark McFarland officiating. Visitation will from 2 to 6 on Thursday at the funeral home.
