Dallas Lee Snider, 83, of Owensboro died Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on June 27, 1935 in Sullivan, Indiana to the late Roy Snider and Audrey Wolfe Snider. Dallas spent many hours working in his garden and he enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor with his family and friends. He could be seen in many places around town riding on his scooter but was always seen in his seat supporting Kentucky Wesleyan College Basketball. He loved going to see his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Snider.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Beverly Schafer Snider; two daughters, Beth Snider and Karen (Bob) Rowan; a son, Ross Snider; two grandchildren, Amanda Rowan and Ryan (April) Rowan; two great-grandchildren, Reece Rowan and Lilianna Rowan; and a sister, Betty Arend.
Services will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Sorgho Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00am until 11:00am at the funeral home.
