Oba H. Ray, 80, of Owensboro, passed away August 20, 2018, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Daviess County to the late McAdoo and Mildred Ray. Oba loved children. Taught Sunday School and drove the bus for the kids at Berean Baptist Church. Oba Enjoyed Race Horses, Westerns and loved attending auctions. He could find anything to amuse himself and also spent time studying history.
Oba was also preceded in death by his son, Christopher Haywood; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Preston; brother, Stephen Ray; sisters, Sandy Brown and Elizabeth Clark and step-mother, Margaret Ray
He is survived by daughters, Annah Kathy Parsotan; Rebecca Hamilton (Richard), Amy Bullington (Billy); seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Michael Ray (Donna) and sisters, Judy Hillard and Darlene Johnson.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2018, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m.
