Donald L Rehrig, 84, of Philpot, went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 21, 1934 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Donald A. and Hazel Rehrig. Donald worked for Ingersoll Rand as a pump engineer and retired after 35 years of service. He was a born again Christian and attended Red Hill Baptist Church. Donald was an avid reader, enjoyed riding his John Deere mower, macramé, camping, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife also were foster parents for 19 years.
Donald was also preceded in death by a sister, Charmaine Musselman of New Jersey; a grandson, William G. Clark; and a great grandson, Jeffrey Michael Mills.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Betty Kase Rehrig; his sons, Ben Rehrig (Kelly) and Troy Burden (Jessie); his daughters, Joelina Rehrig, Akeira Rehrig, Britni Rehrig (Jonathon), Cierra Kellems, Lisa Mills (Jeff), Beverly Boarman (Doug), Teresa Richeson, and Dorita Clark (Gerry); a sister, Dolores P. Hanisak of New Jersey; 29 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Donald will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Jerry Cotton officiating. Entombment will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 until 8 p.m. with sharing of memories from 6 to 7PM, and Wednesday from 12 p.m.
until time of the service at the funeral home.
