Dennis Ray Martin, 63, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born April 21, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN and raised by his parents, the late Lillian Moorman and the late Joe E. Moorman. He was retired from Alcoa. He was an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church. He loved fishing and hunting, everything outdoors, and he never met a stranger. He loved and supported his family. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Martin.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joyce Adcock Martin; his sons, Kyle Martin (Stephanie) of Wilson, NC and Mark Martin (Courtney) of Owensboro; grandchildren, Jasmine Martin and Kameron Martin, both of Wilson, NC and Max Martin of Owensboro; sisters, Dianna Hester (Jack) and Becky Moorman (Cathy); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
