Sharon Asher Grubbs, 60, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on August 19, 1958 in Harlan, KY to Austin Asher and Martha Holcomb Asher. She was a homemaker who loved her grandkids, camping, cooking, anything outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Those that knew Sharon knew she never met a stranger, loved making memories and had a strong love for everyone. In 2002, she was an organ recipient which provided her with an extra 16 years of life with those she loved. She was preceded in death by her father, Austin Asher; her identical twin, Karen Asher; and her brother, Gary Asher.
Survivors include a daughter, Shannon Price (Dallass); a son, Henry Price (Amy), both of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Weston Price, Karah Price and Dallin Curry; her mother, Martha Asher; two brothers, Roy Kilgore (Lois) and Danny Asher, both of Harlan, KY; a sister, Laverne Nicklow (Tony) of Baltimore, Maryland; nieces and nephews, Tanya Jansen, Elizabeth Brooks, Bobbie Ann Ford, Leslie Asher, Leann Asher and Danny Lambert; several great-nieces and nephews, many cousins and lifelong friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Chapel at James H. Davis Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Sharon will be laid to rest next to her twin sister at Pleasant Grove Cemetery at a later date.
