Ghanshyam Bhogilal Patel, 70, of Owensboro passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at his home. He was born in Karamsad, Gujarat, India to Bhogilal Naranbhai Patel and Maniben Bhogilal Patel. Ghanshyam retired from Ferro Corporation in New Jersey where he worked for 25 years as a chemical engineer. He was a member of Gujarat Samaj. Ghanshyam enjoyed gardening, traveling, and playing with his grandson. He was a foodie.
Along with his parents, Ghanshyam was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Manibhai Fullabhai Patel.
Ghanshyam is survived by his wife of 40 years, Hasumati Amin Patel; his son, Jigar Patel; his daughter, Jigna Patel; his son-in-law, Aaron Wilson; his grandsons, Caden Wilson and Ace Wilson; his siblings, Ila Patel, Mahesh Patel, Sumitraben Patel, Meenaxiben Patel.
Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with Surendra Mishra officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 pm until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Services will be livestreamed on Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory’s Facebook page.
Family and friends who wish to honor Ghanshyam at the visitation and funeral are required to wear a mask while inside the funeral home for the safety of all those in attendance.
