Lindsey Rachelle Wiley Johnson, 27, of Reed, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021. She was born in Evansville, Indiana on May 12, 1993 to James Johnson and Jennifer Stogner Ballard. Lindsey, a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, was the perfect example of peace and love. She loved butterflies, was a flower child, had a free spirit with a gypsy soul, loved all things nature, was a very loving and true friend, loved animals and life, enjoyed going to music festivals, loved gems and stones, and fishing.
Lindsey is preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlotte and Doil Stogner.
Along with her parents, left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Doil (Stefanie) Stogner of Henderson, Kentucky, Stephen Wiley of Reed Kentucky, Josh Johnson, Lance Johnson and Heather Johnson; six nephews, two nieces, and two second cousins; her grandparents James and Cristi Johnson; her step-father Bill Ballard; her step-mother Holly Johnson; and Forrest, her furbaby and the love of her life.
Services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with Pastor Tim Hall officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Saturday, March 6, 2021, and again on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
All who wish to honor Lindsey at the visitation and funeral are required to wear a mask while inside the funeral home for the safety of all those in attendance.
