Freddie A. Millay

Freddie A. Millay, 64, of Knottsville, passed away September 8, 2018 at home. He was born September 26, 1953 in Daviess Co. to the late, Pius Eugene and Mary Ruby Seaton Millay. Freddie was a truck driver. His nickname and CB Handle was “Red Dog”. Freddie was loving, caring, and would give you the shirt off his back. He enjoyed bringing family together and would show his skill with the grill during family events. Freddie always put others first, was open and honest, and simply was a good guy. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jerry Millay and Connie Powers and sister-in-law, Shirley Millay.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Millay; sons, Jonathon Hurm, and Jacob Hurm; siblings, William L. Millay, Mary Jo “Jody Williams (Rick), Kenneth R. Millay, Tony Millay (Mary), Marla Hayden (Michael); a special neice, Tonia Porter; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joyce and Junior Hurm; sister-in-law, Brenda Millay; brother-in-laws, Keith Hurm (Norma) and Shane Hurm (Laura); sister-in-law, Daisy Hallmark and a host of neices, nephews and cousins.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Knottsville. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be 6:00 p.m. Monday evening.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Daviess County Animal Shelter or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
