Jacqueline Lee Newton, 82, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born August 13, 1939 in Akron, Ohio to the late John William and Susie Pauline Long Smith. Mamaw Jackie was a member of Union Grove Community Church in Hartford and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Newton; a son, Robert “Bobby” Greer; and her brother, Lonnie Smith.
She is survived by a son, Danny Greer; other sons and daughters; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
