Alisa Kay Shively, 59, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born in Louisville to Robert and Patricia Jackie.
After more than twenty years of service, Alisa retired from the U.S. Marine Corps with the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. More recently, she retired from U.S. Bank Home Mortgage.
Alisa was a member of American Legion Post #9 and was Past Madam President of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary Aerie #4168. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking for family and friends and enjoyed UK and U of L Basketball. Alisa devoted her time to the service and assistance of others.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Jackie.
Alisa is survived by her loving husband John Shively; step-son, Paul Shively; mother, Patricia Jackie of Mt. Washington; sisters, Theresa Jordan (Mark) and Benita Jackie; brothers, Tim Jackie (Lisa) and John Jackie (Christy) five nieces and nephews; five great-nephews; dear friend, Sandra Minton; and her beloved dog, Jasmine.
The service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 28 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 PM and Friday from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
