Louise Bowen, 94, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born September 15, 1924 in Daviess County to the late Clint and Artie Bratcher Frakes. Louise was a member of Third Baptist Church and was retired from the Canteen Service Co. She enjoyed dancing , playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Louise was also preceded in death by her husband Norvel Bowen in 1990 and was the last one surviving of 11 brothers and sisters.
Louise is survived by her children, a daughter, Linda Howell and husband Dyke of Lido Key, Florida, four sons, Fred Bowen, Sr. and wife Nina, Tim Bowen and wife Betty, and Rex Bowen and wife Sonya, all of Owensboro, and Mike Bowen and wife Nancy of Utica, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 29, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 8:30 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
