A traffic accident occurred Thursday at the 2700 block of W. 4th St. and Jed Pl. at 5:38 a.m. A pedestrian, Kyle A. Wilson, 40, of the 8900 block of County Line Rd. was hit by driver Richard W. Hamilton, 51, of the 700 block of Greenbriar St. The victim was reported to be wearing dark clothing, and the driver didn’t see him. Wilson was treated at OHRH for his injuries.
A theft by unlawful taking or disposition of all others $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported at the corner of W. 7th St. and Foust. An iPhone 7S Plus, a Samsung smartphone, a white iPhone X, and $2,000 cash were reported stolen. The total estimated value reported stolen was $3,100.
On Wednesday, a second-degree burglary was reported at the 600 block of Allen St. A 32-inch flat screen TV was reported stolen.
At the 1500 block of W. 4th St. on Wednesday, a second-degree burglary was reported. Six pairs of men’s shoes, 2 pairs of women’s shoes, and a Playstation 4 with games were reported stolen at an estimated value of $2,365.
At the 2000 block of Asbury Pl. on Thursday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of contents from a vehicle $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A Macbook Air and charger, a blood sugar glucometer, and a brown satchel were reported stolen at an estimated value of $1,190.
At the 2700 block of Allen St. on Thursday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of an automobile $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A motor scooter was reported stolen at an estimated value of $750.
At the 2600 block of Rush Trl. on Thursday, a theft by unlawful taking (firearm) was reported. A 9-9 MM pistol was reported stolen at an estimated value of $250.
At the 2100 block of Lovell Dr. on Thursday, a third-degree burglary was reported. A Ratchet Set Craftsman was reported stolen at an estimated value of $125.
At the 1500 block of W. 2nd St. on Thursday, a second-degree robbery was reported. Two of the 3 suspects were arrested for attempting to rob the Dollar General store.
A theft by unlawful taking or disposition of an automobile $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported Thursday at the 1300 block of Bowtie Trl. A Ford Focus was reported stolen at an estimated value of $10,000.
At the 2500 block of S. Cherokee Dr. on Thursday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a firearm was reported. A firearm was reported stolen at an estimated value of $450.
At the 800 block of Bolivar St. on Thursday, a second-degree burglary was reported. A lawn mower and weed eater were reported stolen at an estimated value of $200.
A first-degree burglary and a third-degree criminal mischief were reported Thursday at the 500 block of Salem Dr. A damaged locking mechanism on a door and a stolen firearm were reported, with damages totaling $1,900.
At the 1200 block of Crabtree Ave. on Thursday, a first-degree robbery was reported. A 2006 Ford Fusion was reported stolen at an estimated value of $2,000. The vehicle was later recovered in undamaged condition.
