In the 2600 block of Calumet Tr. on Monday, a second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument was reported. A forged check for $400 was reported at Hobby Lobby.

 

In the 700 block of Hall St. on Monday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of an automobile $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A 1986 Chevy Caprice was reported stolen at an estimated value of $3,000.

 

A third-degree burglary was reported Tuesday in the 1300 block of W. 2nd St.

 

A receiving stolen property $10,000 or more, a first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth) and a driver operating on a suspended license were reported Tuesday.

 

In the 1000 block of Jackson St., a third-degree assault on a police officer or probation officer, a first-degree criminal trespassing and a resisting arrest were reported on Tuesday.

 

A single-vehicle accident was reported on Tuesday at 12:02 p.m. Driver Janet Geer, 82, of the 2500 block of Ford Ave. drove into a Goodwill Store in the 2900 block of W. Parrish Ave. The driver shattered the window of the store and was taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for injuries.

 

A traffic accident occurred Tuesday on Frederica St. at 12:41 p.m. Drivers in the wreck included William E. Mitchell, Jr., 63, of the 700 block of W. 2nd St. and Erica S. Friesinger-Thompson, 37, of the 200 block of Lake St. Friesinger-Thompson was injured, along with one other passenger–Aaron M. Thompson, 18, of the 200 block of Lake St. Both were transported to OHRH for injuries.

 

A traffic accident occurred Tuesday at 9:09 p.m. in the 2400 block of E. Parrish Ave. Driver John W. Payne, 41, of the 2000 block of McCulloch Ave. was driving, and a passenger, Hannah R. Payne, 18, of the 2000 block of McCulloch Ave. was injured. Payne was taken to OHRH for treatment of injuries.
