Traffic

A collision occurred at the 2900 block of Frederica Street on Tuesday at 12:02 p.m. involving Katherine E. Beliles, 25, of the 5900 block of Hamilton Drive and Michael S. Wethington, 59, of the 3700 block of Adams Street. Beliles was driving an SUV and Wethington was driving a truck involved in the wreck. Both were injured and taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for evaluation.

 

A collision occurred Tuesday at the 4800 block of Frederica Street at 2:14 p.m. The wreck happened between Mary M. Doss, 19, of the 2300 block of W. Surrey Drive, Gregory G. Kirby, 48, of the 5300 block of US Hwy 431 North and Emily G. MacBride, 42, of the 8100 block of State Route 81 South. Kirby and his passenger, Jennifer A. Kirby, 50, of the 5300 block of US Hwy 431 North were injured in the three-car collision. They were transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.

 

A collision occurred Wednesday on Southtown Boulevard at 8:02 p.m. The drivers involved in the wreck were Amber R. Coleman, 34, of the 4800 block of 992 Hwy and Amy S. Boyd, 41, of the 6400 block of Valley Brook Trace. Boyd and her passenger, a juvenile, were injured in the wreck and taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.  

 

A hit-and-run was reported on Wednesday at 4 p.m. on the block of Ralph Avenue. Darcy L. Purk, 57, of the 3600 block of Wood Trace was driving a car when she was hit by a black vehicle, wherein the driver fled the scene.

A first-degree wanton endangerment was reported on Tuesday at the corner of W. 8th Street and Omega Street. The back window of a car was damaged due to a gunshot with damages approximating $400.

 

A theft by unlawful taking in the amount of $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported at the 1800 block of Hughes Avenue on Wednesday. A moped was reported stolen at a value of approximately $846.94.

Reports

 

Four males were reported by a witness to have stolen three bicycles and one red scooter at the 100 block of Hwy 140 East (Utica) on Wednesday. The three juveniles were approached by a witness about the scooter, left the scooter on the road and fled the scene after. Officers were on the search for the individuals when they received a call about three bicycles being stolen. The officers in the area apprehended the individuals and returned the bikes and the scooter to the victims in undamaged condition. The three juveniles were charged with third-degree criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking over $500 and under $10,000 and receiving stolen property under $500. The fourth male, Jonah M. Mattingly, 18, of the 100 block of Maple Leaf Lake Lane was charged with third-degree criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking over $500 and under $10,000, receiving stolen property under $500, and second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
