A traffic accident occurred Wednesday at 6:05 p.m. in the 300 block of Frederica St. Drivers in the wreck included Johnathan M. Davis, 28, of the 1000 block of W. 7th St. and Tracy B. Thacker, 57, of the 4500 block of Lake Forest Dr. Davis was injured in the accident and taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.

In the 1600 block of Daviess St. on Tuesday, a theft by unlawful taking $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A Michael Kors purse was reported stolen at an estimated value of $581.

A theft of mail matter was reported Tuesday in the 1300 block of Frederica St.

A third-degree assault on a police officer or probation officer was reported Saturday in the 600 block of W. 8th St.

In the 200 block of Ragu Dr. on Wednesday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of an automobile $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo was reported stolen at an estimated value of $4,500.

A second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief were reported Wednesday in the 1500 block of St. Mary’s Ave. A lock was broken on a back door and another door was reportedly broken as well.

In the 1300 block of W. 2nd St. on Wednesday, a theft by unlawful taking or disposition of contents from a vehicle $500 or more and under $10,000 was reported. A car CD player and DVD system were reported stolen at an estimated value of $931.

A theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a firearm was reported in the 1800 block of James David Ct. on Wednesday. A firearm was reported stolen at an estimated value of $200.

In the 2900 block of Heartland Crossing Blvd. on Thursday, a theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting) under $500 was reported. $303.70 worth of goods were reported stolen.
