“Yesterday in Sports” brings you the highlights from sports in Owensboro and Daviess County.

The boys golf teams for Daviess County and Trinity High School were both in action Thursday.

Trinity Boys Golf

The Raiders beat Hancock County in a match played at the Lafayette Golf Course. Trinity shot a 190, while the Hornets posted a 242. Sam Russelburg of Trinity finished the day on top of the leaderboard with a 45, and teammates Luke Payne and Trenton Morris tied for second with a 47.

Daviess County Boys Golf

The Panthers posted a team score of 298 to finish in second place at the the South Warren Invitational at CrossWinds Golf Course. Bowling Green finished one stroke better, winning the tournament with a 297. Daniel Love of Daviess County tied for second place, shooting a 67.
