Fall ball season finishes with Yankees’ win Thursday

Southern Little League fall ball wrapped up its 2018 season Thursday night with the Major league division crowning the Yankees as division champions.

“The Yankees were a great group of kids that worked together and used their talents to reach their goal, a Season Championship,” said Yankees’ coach, Jeff Johnson, “The Major League Division was very competitive and made for a great Fall Season. The Yankees beat the Orioles 13-0 in the first round and the Cubs 11-0 in the Championship. They finished the season 7-4. We are grateful to Southern Little League for all their hard work and commitment to the kids.”

Minor League
The Minor league division champions were the Phillies. They went 11-0 for the season, with two of the youngest players in the division on their team. They celebrated the season with a pizza and pool party at Coach Reid’s house.
