Full Schedule

District 9 champion — Owensboro Catholic
Record (Overall, Region, District): 18-13, 10-2, 6-2
Quick hit: The Lady Aces started 0-5 but picked up momentum to close the season strong. OCHS won the district by upsetting Apollo after the E-Gals went through district play without dropping a single set. The Lady Aces also beat the two other district champions, Breckinridge County and Trinity, during the regular season.

District 9 runner-up — Apollo
Record: 29-8, 12-1, 7-1
Quick hit: The E-Gals ran through the district and region without dropping a single set until a surprise loss to Owensboro Catholic in the tournament. They were runner-up in their own Apollo Summer Slam, and won a tournament in Hopkinsville to end the regular season. They also beat Trinity, Breckinridge County and Meade County.

District 10 champion — Muhlenberg County
Record: 11-22, 4-10, 4-3
Quick hit: The Lady Mustangs struggled to string together wins this season, but pulled an upset over Ohio County in the district tournament. They also had a tough time against district and region opponents, and they only have the single win against teams that made the regional tournament.

District 10 runner-up — Ohio County
Record: 14-16, 12-8, 5-1
Quick hit: The Lady Eagles had an up and down season, as they started 4-0 but had a 10-game losing streak before closing the regular season with six consecutive wins. They beat Muhlenberg County twice before losing in the district tournament. They won a few region matches, but lost 0-2 to first-round opponent Breckinridge County.

District 11 champion — Breckinridge County
Record: 29-7, 17-2, 10-0
Quick hit: The Lady Tigers will be one of the top challengers for the region title, and they’re tied for the most wins of any team. They did lose to both Apollo and Owensboro Catholic, but both matches were narrow defeats. They’ve had four separate five-game winning streaks this year and will look to extend the current one.

District 11 runner-up — Meade County
Record: 17-17, 9-6, 5-4
Quick hit: The Lady Waves went .500 on the season and have a winning record in the region, though Trinity is the only team remaining that they beat. They’ll play the Lady Raiders again in the first round in hopes of keeping the season alive.

District 12 champion — Trinity
Record: 23-7, 19-4, 8-1
Quick hit: The Lady Raiders had a largely successful season, though they have lost to half of the teams in the region tournament. Trinity avenged a regular season loss to Grayson County by beating the Lady Cougars in the district tournament. They’ll look to do the same against Meade County in the first round.

District 12 runner-up — Grayson County
Record: 20-7, 13-4, 6-2
Quick hit: The Lady Cougars strung together several wins this year, but did drop matches to Trinity and Ohio County. They’ll have a tough out in the first round against an Owensboro Catholic team coming off a big district championship win.
