7U Owensboro Predators win youth football KY Cup

For the second week in a row, the 7U Owensboro Predators went undefeated to win their youth football tournament. The Predators beat the W. Clermont Wolves 20-13 in the championship.

This week’s Kentucky Cup championship follows their title in the King of the Hill Tournament. Both tournaments were host by Owensboro Daviess County Youth Football League at Waymond Morris Park.

The 7U team was the only Owensboro squad that advanced to a championship in the KY Cup, which had 50 teams from seven states participating.

Players on the 7U team are Amaud Watkins, Khalil Shemwell, Hayden McBride, Jerard Fountain, Rishaad Cason, Jackson Stallings, Max Morris, Tyson Biggs, Brogan Sanchez, Onyes Robinson, Malik Moorman, Max Kizer, Gavin Walker, Braxton Carr, Jaxon Dickens, Lucian Parkman, William Cook, Phoenix Payne, Tyler Graddy, Jamil Waddy, Braden Price.

Stetson Brown is the head coach, and assistant coaches are Matt Douglas, Rameen Lindsey and BJ Hamilton.
