The KY Chrome 06 fastpitch softball team brought home the hardware from the 2018 USSSA Fall World Series in Birmingham, Ala. The team, whose players primarily reside in Daviess County, won third place in the tournament that featured 33 teams from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee.
Coach Jake English is proud of the effort of the team on display this weekend.
“This team has heart,” he said. “They got down a couple times but they always pushed each other up. They play for the name on the front of their jerseys, not the back. I hope this team realizes what they just accomplished.”
