The Kentucky Wesleyan College women’s basketball team dominated from start to finish, breaking four school records on the way to a 119-26 win over Ohio Christian University.

Six players reached double figures Thursday night at the Sportscenter as the Panthers (1-2) stormed out of the gate and never looked back. Wesleyan scored the first 10 points of the game in just over two minutes. The Trailblazers (1-5) struggled offensively throughout the first half and trailed 29-5 after the first quarter.

The Panthers opened the second quarter on am 18-4 run, and the lead grew to 60-13 by halftime. The second half nearly mirrored the first as KWC went on to score the most points and win by the largest margin in school history.

The 119 points in a single game breaks a 6-year-old mark (115) previously set at Bellarmine in 2012. The 93-point win tops the previous best of a 71-point win against Fort Campbell in February of 1979.

Keelie Lamb led all scorers with 27 points, finishing 11-of-12 from the field. She also pulled in eight rebounds. Shayla Wright added 25 points off the bench and also grabbed seven rebounds.

Other top performers for the Panthers were Jenna Martin (15 points, 6 assists, 4 steals), Emma Wolfe (14 points, 4 assists), Lily Grimes (12 points, 5 assists, 4 steals) and Emma Johnson (11 points, 4 steals, 3 blocks).

The Panthers also set records with 19 made 3-pointers and 38 3-point attempts. The Panthers also tied the all-time mark of 21 steals in a game.
