The Trinity wrestling team won a pair of matches Tuesday night by taking down Bardstown 36-24 and Louisville Western 36-18.

Head coach Adam Lynch said he is looking forward to another successful season. The Raiders return five seniors and two state qualifiers. The team won 15 dual matches last year, and only three opposing teams had fewer wrestlers than Trinity.

Trinity only has eight wrestlers, so with 14 total weight classes, any team with a full lineup starts the match with a 36-0 advantage.

“We have an unbelievable group of young men,” Lynch said. “They understand hard work and what it takes to be successful.”

The Raiders will compete again at Ohio County on Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. against Ohio County and Henderson County.

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
