On Sunday night, the Bluegrass Bombers received their Baseball Players Association (BPA) World Series Championship rings to celebrate their title as 7u Champions. Coaches William Howard, Eric Maxey and Chris Gaddis said the boys, who come from every end of the county, represented Owensboro well in tournaments in both Indiana and Kentucky.

Kentucky Wesleyan College and 10u coach Todd Lillpop and his wife Audrey said the time the boys spend together teaches them lessons that apply both on and off the field.

“We spend our weekends together with our teams from March to October, so these kids are truly growing up together,” Audrey said. “They work hard and they are learning a lot more than just how to play baseball.

The 7u Championship Bluegrass Bomber players are:

Ace Lillpop
Greyson Howard
Lucas Hagan
Jarret Maxey
Griffin Gaddis
Aiden Klee
Lane Horsman
Karson White
Parker Maxwell
Cameron Howard

The Bluegrass Bombers organization has a 7u, 8u, 9u, 10u (also State Champs) and 13u team.
