Lady Devils remain perfect with road win

Nine different players scored as the Owensboro girls’ basketball team improved to 5-0 with a 63-32 win over McLean County.

A big first quarter gave the Lady Devils a 22-12 advantage, and they grew their lead each quarter.

Tayonna Greer and Amaya Curry each hit three 3-pointers and led the team with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Mykael Winstead added 10 points.

Also scoring for Owensboro were Nia Gonzo (6), Tamia Smith (5), Lemiya Geer (4), Lyric Lawrence (4), Kaylyn Sowders (4) and Krystell Pappas (3).

The Lady Devils play again today at Muhlenberg County at 7:30 p.m.
