“Yesterday in Sports” brings you the highlights from sports in Owensboro and Daviess County.
The Daviess County wrestling team beat both Caldwell County and Henderson County in a dual match at home Thursday. They took down Caldwell County 51-28 and then beat Henderson County 46-33.
Sophomore Say Moe went 2-0 in the heavyweight division. Juniors Brayden Davis and Landen Boone also went 2-0.
Reese Haight (145) went 2-0 and wrestled up, defeating the ninth-ranked 152-pound previously undefeated John Paredes from Caldwell County to improve to 14-0.
