GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Apollo 55, Meade County 51
The E-Gals (6-2) picked up their fourth win by overcoming a fourth-quarter deficit on the road against the Lady Waves (2-5).
Zoe Floyd led Apollo with 22 points and went a perfect 6-for-6 at the line, also pulling down 11 rebounds. Kassidy Daugherty added 18 points, Amber Dunn finished with eight, and Lexi Shadowen had seven.
The E-Gals are back in action Thursday at 9 a.m., when they play Madisonville-North Hopkins in the first game of the Owensboro Invitational Tournament at the Owensboro Sportscenter.

The Lady Devils (0-7) were tied heading into the fourth quarter, but they couldn’t hang on in the road loss to the Lady Maroons (6-1).
Emma Anderson led the team with 15 points off five made 3-pointers, while Claire Johnson added 12 points on four 3-pointers to go along with nine rebounds.
Katie Mewes scored nine points and Kailey Bowers had four.
Daviess County returns to action Thursday, when they play Webster County at 10:30 a.m. in the first day of the Owensboro Invitational Tournament at the Owensboro Sportscenter.
