The full schedule for the Owensboro Thoroughbreds was released last week, and tickets for all 18 home games are on sale now.
The Thoroughbreds, under new ownership and with a new head coach, will play at the Owensboro Sportscenter and play in the the semi-professional The Basketball League (TBL). They open the season with a five-game home stand starting Jan. 11 against the Tampa Bay Titans.
Following months of recruiting and getting the team ready, first-year head coach Adam Chrisco said he is looking forward to get things rolling.
“We’re excited to have the schedule in place and the tickets available to the public,” he said. “We had a great group of guys at our Owensboro and Indianapolis combines. We will start training camp in January and have our final roster in place shortly thereafter.”
Each game will feature a different community theme that will help generate community involvement and raise awareness about needs in the Owensboro area.
Team president Veter Dixon said he hopes the community will be involved and be excited to attend games.
“We would like the Owensboro Thoroughbreds to be the number one team in the TBL in attendance,” he said. “We can only achieve this goal with your help and support.”
Individual game tickets start at $8 for bleachers seats and $12 for chair backs. Season tickets are also available — $100 for bleachers and $160 for chair backs.
David Clark, Sales and Marketing Director said the pricing gives the community an opportunity to have an affordable family night.
“It’s the best value for family entertainment in the Owensboro area,” he said. “Single game tickets start as low as $8, and concessions are reasonably priced. We’re affordable, family friendly, entertainment at an incredible value.”
