Brescia men win fourth in a row, women fall short

After they received votes in the NAIA Division II Top 25 poll earlier in the day, the Brescia University men’s basketball team picked picked up their fourth win in a row.

With their 101-88 victory over Cincinnati Christian University, the Bearcats (9-7, 6-1) maintained their spot on top of the RSC West Division. The Lady Bearcats lost 61-53 in the first game of Tuesday’s doubleheader.

In the men’s game, Kayode Daboiku posted a double-double with 27 points and 10 rebounds to go with 5 assists. Dillon Geralds added 16 points, Jalen Rose scored 15 and Tristen Murray finished with 13.

After opening up a 55-44 lead in the first half, Brescia maintained a steady advantage for the rest of the game.

The Lady Bearcats (4-14, 2-5) couldn’t get much going on offense, though they were never totally out of the game. Though they won the second and fourth quarters by one point each, they were outscored in the first and third by five each.

Catherine Dunn led Brescia with 14 points, and Aaliyah Rogers added 12.
