OHS girls fall on road to Muhlenberg County

The Owensboro girls’ basketball team fell behind early and lost 72-40 to Muhlenberg County on the road Thursday night.

The Lady Devils (8-12) dropped their second game in a row, while the Lady Mustangs (13-8) improved to 6-2 in 3rd Region action. Owensboro trailed 21-10 after the first quarter, and Muhlenberg continued add to the lead.

The Lady Devils were led by Amaya Curry and Tayonna Greer, who each scored 9 points.

Owensboro will close out the week by returning home to host Ohio County at 7 p.m. Saturday. They’ll then go back on the road for a game at Hancock County on Monday and Butler County. The Lady Devils will host Apollo on Feb. 1 for the next-to-last regular season 9th District game.
