GIRLS
DAVIESS COUNTY 74, BUTLER COUNTY 65
The road win makes three in a row for the Lady Panthers (4-14), who hit 13 3-pointers to get past the Lady Bears (3-16).

All 15 of Claire Johnson’s points came from long range, and she hit three in a row in the final frame to keep Daviess County on top. Kailey Bowers also scored 15.

The Lady Panthers are back in action Friday, when they visit Owensboro at 5:30 p.m. Friday for a 9th District meeting.

BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY 44, APOLLO 40
The E-Gals (10-9) came up just short on the road against the Lady Tigers (13-5), who remain near the top of 3rd Region standings at 9-1. No stats were available.

Apollo will play again at 5:30 p.m. Friday when they host 9th District opponent Owensboro Catholic.

BOYS
DAVIESS COUNTY 91, EDMONSON COUNTY 62
The Panthers (7-9) jumped ahead early and never let up in a rout of the Wildcats (7-11) on the road. Dakota Walden scored 25 to lead all scorers, and Logan Hillard added 23.

Daviess County will continue a four-game road stretch with a visit to 9th District opponent Owensboro at 7 p.m. Friday.

The Eagles (1-16) couldn’t keep up with the Tigers (15-2), who are on an 11-game win streak and sit near the top of the 3rd Region standings.

Cameron Frantz scored 21 points for Apollo and hit five 3-pointers.

The Eagles return home Friday to host 9th District opponent Owensboro Catholic.
