Lady Panthers sweep third straight match

The Daviess County volleyball team earned another sweep on the road Thursday night after taking down Ohio County 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-19).

The Lady Panthers (3-0) have not lost a set through their first three games. They’ll play five more times over the next two days in the Apollo Summer Slamdown. DC faces Webster County at 6 p.m. and Green County at 8 p.m. Friday in pool play. They will have three matches in bracket play Saturday.

In Thursday’s win, the Lady Panthers were led by Ashton Johnson (11 kills, 8 digs, 3 aces), Elizabeth Moore (9 kills, 6 aces, 4 digs), Kloee Phelps (16 digs, 3 assists, 2 kills) and Delaney Evans (15 digs, 3 aces).

Also contributing were Ryann Keller (16 assists), Hannah Axley (9 assists, 6 digs), Kinsley Phelps (3 kills, 4 digs, 3 Blocks), Jasmine Beasley (3 kills, 3 digs, 2 aces) and Chea Bowers (6 digs).
