WEDNESDAY’S ACTION:
• Johnson leads DC boys to win over OHS, AHS, OCHS
• Apollo’s Brown medalist again, E-Gals edged in dual match


JOHNSON LEADS DC TO WIN OVER OHS, AHS, OCHS
Nick Johnson shot a 37 to earn medalist honors, leading Daviess County to a win in a four-way match at Ben Hawes. The Panthers shot 161, followed by Owensboro (183), Apollo (204) and Owensboro Catholic (210).

DC’s Braden Whistle and Catholic’s JT Payne each shot a 40 for the second-lowest score. Whistle was awarded second place based on a scorecard playoff.

Also scoring for the Panthers was Gabe Vincent with a 41, while Brady Huckleberry and Dawson Lamb each shot 43.

Owensboro was led by a 41 from Jack Lashbrook, followed by James Rhineburger (47), Will Hume (47) and Lucas Lyons (48).

Apollo’s Isaac Crabtree and Ashton Hope each shot a 48 to lead the team. Tanner Klee shot a 49 and Nathan Payne had a 59.

Catholic’s other scorers included Will Fulkerson (52), Barrett Martin (57) and Houston Danzer (61).


APOLLO’S BROWN MEDALIST AGAIN, E-GALS EDGED IN DUAL MATCH
Macey Brown shot a 2-over-par 38 to lead all scorers in a match at Henderson Country Club. Apollo lost to Henderson 194-191 in the team competition. Other scores for Apollo came from Addison Carter (51), Brooke Brown (51) and Mary Lyons (54).
