BOYS
MCFARLAND NETS 4 GOALS IN DOMINANT OHS VICTORY
Grayson McFarland finished with four goals and two assists as Owensboro earned an 8-0 route of University Heights at home.
Also scoring for the Red Devils were Josh Head (2), Andrew Saltsman and Paxton Jenkins. Picking up assists were Saltsman (3), Jenkins, Baxter Brown and Jacob Hunt. Radley Worth had six saves.
Owensboro (13-4-2) finishes the regular season Tuesday with a road game at Ohio County.
FUSCO, DICKENS EACH SCORE TWICE IN ACES’ WIN
Owensboro Catholic got two goals each from Joe Fusco and Lance Dickens as they beat Webster County 4-0 at home.
Fusco, Dominic Ranallo and Evan Goetz each had an assist, and Caleb Ranallo had five saves in goal.
Catholic (7-7-1) plays again Saturday at Todd County Central.
EAGLES TIE AT HOME WITH MAROONS
After a scoreless first half, Apollo and Madisonville-North Hopkins scored one goal each to finish in a 1-1 draw. Scoring for the Eagles was Yo Shi Ya off an assist from Harrison Bowman.
Apollo (9-8-1) plays again Saturday at North Hardin.
GIRLS
LADY PANTHERS SHUT OUT ON ROAD
Daviess County wasn’t able to score, falling 5-0 at Evansville Memorial. Emma Patterson had 12 saves in goal, while Emma Pratt had four.
The Lady Panthers (15-3) wrap up the regular season Thursday at home against Bowling Green.
E-GALS SHOW IMPROVEMENT IN ROAD LOSS
Despite a season-high three goals, Apollo came up short in a 5-3 loss at Muhlenberg County. The E-Gals only had one goal through their first 10 games.
Shelby Boone, Alyssa Lawrence and Caitlyn Blandford each scored Tuesday. JoHannah Hutchinson had 20 saves.
Apollo (0-11) plays again Saturday when they host Christian County.
