THURSDAY’S VOLLEYBALL ACTION:
• E-Gals top Meade County in road win
• Lady Panthers shake slow start, close out strong
• Lady Devils sweep McLean County at home
• Lady Aces fall in straight sets to Lady Tigers
• Lady Raiders snap three-game skid in home win


E-GALS TOP MEADE COUNTY IN ROAD WIN
Apollo (12-6) broke a four-game losing skid, sweeping Meade County 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-21) for a road victory.

The E-Gals were led by Whitley Chambers (10 kills, 4 blocks), Anslee Hopewell (8 digs, 4 kills), Brylee Rhodes (7 kills, 3 blocks), Tallie Satterfield (18 assists, 6 digs, 2 kills), Hallie Wilson (8 digs) and Allie Fulkerson (4 kills).

Apollo plays again Tuesday when they host Owensboro Catholic.


LADY PANTHERS SHAKE SLOW START, CLOSE OUT STRONG
Daviess County (15-6) dropped the first set but dominated the rest of the way in a 3-1 (22-25, 25-16, 25-3, 25-7) win at home against Hancock County.

Leading the way for the Lady Panthers were led by Elizabeth Moore (14 kills, 6 digs, 4 aces, 3 blocks, 3 digs), Hannah Axley (23 assists, 4 digs, 3 aces), Ashton Johnson (11 kills, 4 digs), Kendal Goetz (11 digs, 2 aces) and Kloee Phelps (8 digs, 6 kills, 3 blocks).

Also contributing were Delaney Evans (9 digs, 7 aces), Ryann Keller (7 assists), Jasmine Beasley (7 kills), Kinsley Phelps (4 kills, 3 blocks) and Chea Bowers (5 digs).

Daviess County is back in action Monday when they host Henderson County.


LADY DEVILS SWEEP MCLEAN COUNTY AT HOME
Owensboro (7-13) made fairly easy work in a home victory, topping McLean County 3-0 (25-18, 25-10, 25-10).

The Lady Devils were led by Krystell Pappas (14 assists, 10 aces, 7 kills, 2 digs), Lainey Hayden (6 kills, 4 blocks, 2 digs), Armanda Pappas (9 kills, 6 digs), Kennedy Thompson (6 assists, 4 digs), Brooklyn Williams (5 kills, 3 blocks, 2 aces), Jersie Rhineburger (4 assists, 3 digs) and Mykael Winstead (2 kills, 2 assists, 2 digs).

Owensboro plays again Monday with a road trip to Grayson County.


LADY ACES FALL IN STRAIGHT SETS TO LADY TIGERS
Owensboro Catholic (13-7) wasn’t able to keep up on the road to the team atop the region standings, as Breckinridge County won 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-21).

The Lady Aces were led by Cecilia Clemens (38 assists, 5 digs, 2 kills), Cassidy Towery (13 kills, 13 digs, 2 aces), Isabelle Wright (9 kills, 5 digs), Allie Hamilton (5 kills, 3 blocks), Cate Sights (5 kills, 3 blocks), Madeline Castlen (4 kills, 3 blocks, 2 digs) and Jenna Glenn (13 digs).

Catholic plays again Tuesday at Apollo.


LADY RAIDERS SNAP THREE-GAME SKID IN HOME WIN
Trinity (7-11) earned a 3-0 (25-17, 26-24, 25-18) sweep over Butler County in a home victory that snapped a three-game losing skid.

The Lady Raiders were led by Josie Aull (10 assists, 3 digs, 2 aces), Avery Barnett (6 assists, 5 kills, 2 digs), Taylor Pedley (11 digs, 2 assists), Morgan Kinsey (8 kills, 5 digs) and Cassidy Morris (4 kills, 2 blocks, 2 digs).

Also contributing were Hannah Nash (3 digs, 2 aces, 2 kills), Lexie Barnett (8 digs), Jenna McDowell (5 kills), Josie Booker (4 digs) and Abby Payne (4 digs).

Trinity plays at home again Tuesday when they host McLean County.
