TUESDAY’S SOCCER ACTION:
BOYS
• Eagles rout Webster County at home
• Head, Jenkins lead Red Devils to shutout
• Panthers come up short on road

• Lady Devils drop game at Warren East


BOYS
EAGLES ROUT WEBSTER COUNTY AT HOME
Eight players scored as Apollo rolled to a 10-0 home victory over Webster County. Jaelin Kirk and Harrison Bowman each finished with two goals, while Jacob Gillim and Justin Gillim each had two assists.

Scoring one goal each were Elbert Moo, Yo Shi Ya, Teranse Twihenya, Houston Collins, Jacob Gillim and Justin Gillim. Finishing with one assist each were Collins, Keaton Penrod, Matthew Marks and Wah Htoo.

The Eagles (10-8-2) are off until their 9th District tournament opener Monday against Owensboro.


HEAD, JENKINS LEAD RED DEVILS TO SHUTOUT
Josh Head and Paxton Jenkins combined for three goals and three assists as Owensboro shut out Ohio County 5-0 on the road. Head had a pair of goals, both assisted by Jenkins.

Jenkins, Andrew Saltsman and Grayson McFarland all had one goal, while assists came from Bryson Wilkerson, Head and Noah Tucker. Radley Worth had three saves in goal.

The Red Devils (14-4-2) are off until their 9th District tournament opener Monday against Apollo.


PANTHERS COME UP SHORT ON ROAD
Daviess County got on the board early, but a pair of late goals in the second half allowed South Warren to win 2-1 at home. DC’s goal came eight minutes in when Jacob Boling scored off a corner kick by Hunter Clark.

The Panthers (14-2-2) are off until their 9th District tournament opener Monday against Owensboro Catholic.



GIRLS
LADY DEVILS DROP GAME AT WARREN EAST
Owensboro lost 5-1 to Warren East on the road. The lone goal came from Hallie Nichols, and goalkeeper Chandler Worth recorded 17 saves.

The Lady Devils (3-10) play again Thursday when they host Madisonville-North Hopkins.
