Trinity advances to 12th District title game

Defending 12th District volleyball champion Trinity is moving on to the title game after topping Butler County 3-1 (24-26, 25-20, 25-13, 25-23) at home Monday.

The Lady Raiders will take on No. 1 seed Grayson County at 6 p.m. Tuesday in a rematch of last year’s championship. The Lady Cougars beat Edmonson County 3-0 (25-22, 25-10, 25-15) in the first semifinal game Monday.

Trinity’s winning effort in their semifinal was led by Josie Aull (34 assists, 5 digs, 3 aces), Cassidy Morris (22 kills), Taylor Pedley (19 digs) and Morgan Kinsey (10 kills, 8 digs).

Other leading contributors were Avery Barnett (5 kills, 5 assists, 3 aces), Hannah Nash (6 kills, 4 digs), Josie Booker (7 digs), Lexie Barnett (6 digs) and Abby Payne (6 digs).
