THURSDAY’S VOLLEYBALL ACTION:
• Apollo earns sweep of Lady Tigers
• DC cruises past Grayson County
• Catholic wins close match at home


APOLLO EARNS SWEEP OF LADY TIGERS
The E-Gals (23-11) made fairly easy work of a 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-16) win over Hopkinsville in their home finale.

Apollo was led by Tallie Satterfield (22 assists, 7 aces, 6 digs), Hallie Wilson (12 digs, 3 aces), Natalie Ewing (10 kills, 4 blocks), Whitley Chambers (8 kills, 3 blocks), Brylee Rhodes (6 kills, 2 blocks) and Maddi Boswell (5 kills, 3 blocks).

The E-Gals (23-11) will travel Saturday to Henderson County in the final game of the regular season. Apollo will be the No. 2 seed in next week’s 9th District tournament that begins Monday.


DC CRUISES PAST GRAYSON COUNTY
The Lady Panthers (19-9) finished off the regular season at home, picking up a 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-16) win over Grayson County.

Leading the effort for DC were Hannah Axley (23 assists, 4 digs, 3 aces), Kinsley Phelps (5 kills, 6 blocks, 4 digs, 2 aces), Elizabeth Moore (12 kills, 4 digs), Ryann Keller (11 assists, 2 digs) and Ashton Johnson (8 kills, 2 digs, 2 aces).

Also helping the cause were Jasmine Beasley (8 kills), Delaney Evans (3 digs, 3 aces), Kendal Goetz (8 digs, 2 aces) and Kloee Phelps (3 kills, 6 digs).

DC will be the No. 3 seed in next week’s 9th District tournament that begins Monday.


CATHOLIC WINS CLOSE MATCH AT HOME
The Lady Aces (21-10) finished off the regular season with a 3-1 (25-18, 17-25, 25-19, 25-19) home victory over Henderson County.

Catholic was led by Cecilia Clemens (37 assists, 5 kills, 2 blocks) and Cassidy Towery (16 kills, 5 digs). Also contributing were  Allie Hamilton (3 kills, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Isabelle Wright (3 kills, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Jenna Glenn (8 digs), Cate Sites (6 kills, 2 digs), Jayden Bickett (2 aces, 3 digs) and Madeline Castlen (4 kills).

The Lady Aces will be the No. 1 seed in next week’s 9th District tournament that begins Monday.
