TUESDAY’S BASKETBALL ACTION:
BOYS
• Greathouse helps OHS edge Colonels
• Panthers snap skid with road win
• Tigers’ hot offense too much for Trinity
• Apollo drops game at Logan County

BOYS
GREATHOUSE HELPS OHS EDGE COLONELS
Jaiden Greathouse scored 13 of his game-high 21 points in the fourth quarter, giving Owensboro (5-1) the late push they needed to edge Christian County 59-56 at home. After jumping out to a big advantage in the opening minutes, the Red Devils led by just two at the half and trailed by four heading into the final period.

Kenyata Carbon added 11 points for OHS. Also scoring were Isaac Humphrey (8), Gavin Wimsatt (5), Amari Wales (5), Reis Dickinson (5), Cayman Powell (2) and Tucker Hagan (2).


PANTHERS SNAP SKID WITH ROAD WIN
Daviess County (4-3) broke three-game losing skid, picking up a 61-46 victory at Hancock County. The Panthers took a 15-12 advantage after the first quarter and steadily added to their lead the rest of the way.

Ryan Thomson scored a game-high 13 points and added seven assists. Camron Johnson had 12 points and seven rebounds, while Bo Stratton finished with 11 points and eight boards. Also scoring were Hunter Gibson (8), Cole Burch (5), Will Barron (5), Koki Kato (4) and Joe Humphreys (3).


TIGERS’ HOT OFFENSE TOO MUCH FOR TRINITY
The Raiders (3-4) couldn’t keep up with a hot Breckinridge County offense, and the Tigers rolled to an 85-62 win at home.

Ethan Howard led Trinity with 13 points, Denver Dickens had 12 and Brenden Wathen added 11. Also contributing were Kevin Foster (8), Landon Huff (8), Landon Hall (4), Ben Goetz (2) Elijah Boarman (2), Will Edge (1) and Bailey Wright (1).


APOLLO DROPS GAME AT LOGAN COUNTY
Logan County ran away with a 78-37 home win over the Eagles (0-7), who are still searching for their first win of the season.

Ryan Ash led Apollo with 11 points, and Dylon Talbott added 10. Also scoring were Dan St. Claire (5), Beau Barker (3), Cameron Frantz (2), Malik Wilson (2), Harrison Bowman (2), Logan Weedman (1) and Jamen Kinison (1).



GIRLS
DUNN LEADS APOLLO PAST SOUTH WARREN
Amber Dunn had 12 points, 13 rebounds and five steals to lead the E-Gals (4-2) to a 48-36 road win over South Warren. Amari Sanders added eight points and was 4-for-4 from the field. Kassidy Daugherty chipped in seven points, hitting the team’s only 3-pointer.

Also scoring were Janaya Douglas (6), Amaya Curry (6), Zoe Floyd (4), Shelbie Beatty (4) and Addison Carter (1).


TRINITY FALLS SHORT ON ROAD 
Trinity (2-4) wasn’t able to overcome a slow start, and the Lady Raiders fell 57-40 at Breckinridge County. The Lady Tigers took a 13-4 lead after the first quarter, then used six 3-pointers in the second half to pull away.

Scoring for Trinity came from Cassidy Morris (16), Josie Aull (12), Morgan Kinsey (10) and Katherine Hibbitt (2).
