HOWARD HELPS TRINITY SNAP LOSING SKID
Ethan Howard scored 20 points and led Trinity (4-7) to a 65-56 victory over Williamstown in the Williamstown Holiday Tournament. The win snaps a four-game losing streak for the Raiders, who trailed at the half but used a 20-point third quarter to take control.

Others scoring for Trinity were Denver Dickens (8), Brenden Wathen (7), Landon Hall (7), Kevin Foster (6), Landon Huff (6), Will Edge (5), Elijah Boarman (4) and Bailey Wright (2).


RED DEVILS FALL JUST SHORT IN TIGHT GAME
Owensboro (7-5) couldn’t hold off a final push by Franklin-Simpson, and the Red Devils fell 73-71 in the Purples Holiday Classic in Bowling Green. OHS led by two after the first quarter, trailed by four at the half and went back up by one heading into the final period.

Reis Dickinson hit four 3-pointers and scored 17 points for the Red Devils. Jaiden Greathouse scored 15, while Kenyata Carbon added 11. Also contributing were Gavin Wimsatt (8), Tucker Hagan (7), Amari Wales (6), Ethan Pendleton (4) and Isaac Humphrey (3).


ACES EDGED BY LOUISVILLE COLLEGIATE
Owensboro Catholic (5-4) hung close and made a late push, but Louisville Collegiate had enough offense of their own to hang on for a 70-66 win in the First Southern National Bank Classic at Logan County. The Aces led by five at halftime but trailed 47-45 after the third quarter.

Ji Webb led Catholic with 17 points, Drew Hartz added 15, and Andrew Riney finished with 13. Brian Griffith and Gray Weaver each scored nine points, while Luke Scales had three.


EAGLES DROP PAIR OF CONTESTS
Apollo (0-10) kept both games fairly close, but they dropped a pair of contests to begin the Perry-Spencer Classic in South Spencer, Ind. The Eagles lost 57-47 to host South Spencer in the morning game, then fell 55-48 against Boonville.

In game one, Harrison Bowman led the team with 17 points. Also scoring were Malik Wilson (11), Ryan Ash (9), Jamen Kinison (3), Jaden Kelly (3), Dan St. Claire (2) and Cameron Frantz (2). In game two, Wilson led Apollo with 16 points. Also contributing were Ash (11), Bowman (9), St. Claire (8), Kinison (2) and Landon Hamilton (2).


DC OFFENSE STRUGGLES IN BIG LOSS
Daviess County (5-6) couldn’t keep up as tournament host Logan County steadily pulled away for a 68-38 victory in the Roy’s Bar-B-Que/1st Southern National Bank Classic. The Panthers trailed 20-13 after the first quarter, but fell behind 46-20 by halftime.

Bo Stratton finished with a team-high 12 points for DC. Others scoring for the Panthers were Camron Johnson (8), Ryan Thomson (4), Cole Burch (3), Cameron Jones (3), Hunter Gibson (3), Will Barron (3) and Joe Humphreys (2).
