The 3rd Region All “A” Classic tournament kicks off today, with the Owensboro Catholic and Trinity girls’ and boys’ teams all in action in the first round.
Catholic’s teams will play host to McLean County at the Sportscenter, while Trinity will play at Frederick Fraize. Both girls’ games will tip off at 6 p.m., and both boys’ games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
All winners will advance to Saturday’s semifinal round, which will be hosted at Edmonson County. Admission is $7 for the full day of four games.
In both the girls’ and boys’ semifinals, the Trinity-Frederick Fraize winner will square off against Hancock County (girls at 12 p.m., boys at 1:45 p.m.). The Catholic-McLean County winner will take on Edmonson County (girls at 4 p.m., boys at 5:45 p.m.).
The girls’ championship is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday and the boys’ will play at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, with both games taking place at Edmonson County. Admission is $5 for each night.
