EAGLES BLOW BY DAWSON SPRINGS 95-65
Apollo (3-13) had their best offensive day of the season by far, nearly reaching triple digits as they blew out Dawson Springs for a dominant road victory. The Eagles went 38-for-57 from the field, including 11-for-20 from the 3-point line.
Apollo has now won back-to-back games and won three times in their last five tries after losing 11 straight to start the year.
Harrison Bowman led the team with 24 points, going 8-for-11 with five 3-pointers. Cameron Frantz added 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting with four 3s. Also reaching double figures were Malik Wilson (6-for-6, 14 points) and Landon Hamilton (6-for-8, 13 points).
Other scoring came from Ryan Ash (7), Adam Fitzgerald (7), Dan St. Claire (4), Jamen Kinison (3), Evan Deaton (3), Jaden Kelly (2) and Davaughn Johnson (2). St. Claire and Hamilton each had eight rebounds. Wilson had eights assists and Fitzgerald had five, and Hamilton had five steals.
LADY RAIDERS FALL TO HANCOCK COUNTY
Trinity wasn’t to able to keep up in a home loss, as Hancock County used nine 3-pointers to help pull away for a 67-40 win. The Lady Raiders (7-7) trailed by nine at the half, and the Lady Hornets used a 20-4 fourth quarter to put the game out of reach late.
Cassidy Morris led Trinity with 17 points and Josie Aull added 15. Also scoring were Morgan Kinsey (5), Hadley Hatfield (2) and Kenzie McDowell (1).
