SATURDAY’S ACTION:
• Aull, Morris lead Lady Raiders to win
• Lady Devils fall at home to Greenwood
• Trinity boys just short in tight battle

AULL, MORRIS LEAD LADY RAIDERS TO WIN
Josie Aull scored 21 points and Cassidy Morris added 20, and Trinity (8-9) snapped a five-game losing streak with a 50-46 win at Russellville. The Lady Raiders trailed by two after the first quarter but led 21-15 at the half.

After stretching the advantage to 34-26 at the end of the third quarter, Trinity hit 12 of 17 free throws in the fourth to hang on for a win.

Aull hit four 3-pointers and went 5-for-5 at the free throw line. Morris hit seven of her nine made free throws in the fourth period. Also scoring for Trinity were Kenzie McDowell (4), Morgan Kinsey (3) and Hadley Hatfield (2).

LADY DEVILS FALL AT HOME TO GREENWOOD
Owensboro (5-11) fought back from an early deficit, but they didn’t quite have enough in a 52-44 loss at home to Greenwood. After falling behind 16-6 in the first quarter, the Lady Devils tied it at 22-all by halftime before the Lady Gators pulled away.

Lyric Lawrence led OHS with 13 points and Chandler Worth added 10. Also scoring were Tamia Smith (8), Brooklyn Williams (7), Kate Hrabalikova (2), A’Lyrica Hughes (2) and Kaylyn Sowders (2).

TRINITY BOYS JUST SHORT IN TIGHT BATTLE
The Raiders (6-13) held slim leads at the end of each of the first three quarters, but they weren’t able to hang on in a 50-48 loss at Russellville. Trinity only made one shot from the field in the fourth period but went 9-for-12 from the line, though it wasn’t enough to fend off a late rally by the Panthers.

Ethan Howard led the Raiders with 18 points and Landon Huff added 13. Landon Hall and Kevin Foster each had five points, while Brenden Wathen and Elijah Boarman had two each.
