Daviess County fell behind in the first half, and the deficit was too much to overcome in a 70-57 home loss to Meade County on Friday. The Lady Panthers (6-6) dropped their fifth game in a row.
Mead County built an 18-12 lead after the first quarter and pushed the advantage to 17 points by halftime.
Katie Mewes led the DC effort with 19 points, including 14 in the second half. Brooklyn Daugherty added 14 points, and Adylan Ayer scored 10 of her 12 after halftime. Also scoring were She Mason (9), Ella Payne (2) and Madison Spurrier (1).
