A total of six football players representing all four local high schools were named to the Associated Press 2019 Kentucky All-State teams Wednesday. Owensboro and Apollo each had two selections, while Owensboro Catholic and Daviess County each had one.
Second Team selections included Austin Gough (Owensboro junior linebacker), Drew Hartz (Owensboro Catholic senior quarterback) and Parker Bates (Apollo junior offensive lineman).
Honorable Mention selections included Kobe Skortz (Owensboro senior linebacker), Jon Nalley (Daviess County junior offensive lineman) and Harold Hogg (Apollo junior running back).
